As to the title, I will give you one guess at the creature of which I am talking about. If you guessed humans you are correct! We are the most selfish of all; we live through our daily lives thinking of only ourselves. This is not how God intended it for us. Our gaze is meant to be set on Him and Him alone. If we cannot sit in God’s presence for more than five minutes how is it we expect to live with him for eternity?
This is an example as to what I am saying, in fact it has been burning on my heart for a while and compelled me to write something about it.
Take worship; worship is supposed to be all about god and glorifying him and giving him our love and adoration, but, we must have every second magnifying us, we will put God in a box, shut him up and put the spot light on ourselves. We are taking God’s time! We were created in God’s image right? Well we have feelings. We get sad when someone hurts us. When someone is selfish. Or when someone purposely takes something beautiful you created and destroys it, and/or mocks it and tells you it’s ugly. God feels the same way when we do these things to him. We have to stop looking at him as a mystical being that sits up on a cloud all day frowning at us! No, he doesn’t do that! It says he is troubled when we are! We must be troubled when he is! We must understand what God is calling us to speak out! We must do it without hesitation. These bodies are only vessels to carry our spirits around in, so stop worrying about how stupid you will look and do it! God is looking for Do-ers not Hesitate-rs! When we become undignified in the eyes of the world that is when we will become dignified in the eyes of God!
